Bodies

The West German University Press is a spin-off of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum. The spin-off was funded publically by the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Research NRW in 1999.

The West German University Press (as a corporation) is independent from the Ruhr-Universität Bochum (as body of public law) in legal terms.

The bodies of the University Press are

• the Board of Trustees,
• the Advisory Board,
• the Management Board,
• the Non-Profit Association "Friends and Promoters of The University Press Bochum",
• the Quality Committee.

All members of the bodies are exclusively authors of Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB).

Furthermore, there are

• the branches of the publishing house,
• the bookstore of the publishing house and
• and the distribution center of the publishing house.
